Characteristic of the morphological traits of the udder in buffaloes

A study has been carried out on the morphological traits of the udder in buffalo cows crosses F1, R1 and R2 generation from the newly created buffalo population in Bulgaria.It has been ascertained that the buffalo cows at third and more lactations have the highest LS - estimations of the effect number of lactation, of the traits characterizing the size of the udder and teats and of the distance between them compared to buffalo cows at first and second lactation.The buffalo cows crosses R2 generation have the highest LS - estimation of the effect of the generation of the morphological traits determining the size of the udder and the lowest LS - estimations of the traits determining the size of the teats.
