Animal welfare offers new opportunities in housing and management

For the time being change and development in housing and management of farm animals is in progress due to animal welfare and environmental protection movements as well as public pressure by consumers and economics. Efforts in the EU have been made to standardise the main aspects in this procedure in order to meet the requirements of animals from the point of view of biology, ethology, welfare and health. This procedure is being done for all species resulting in solutions for application paving the way for the practice in the future.
