The effect of insecticides application on the development and parasitism of Trichogrammatoidea bactrae bactrae Nagaraja

An experiment to know: (a) the effect of insecticides application on immatures stage of T. bactrae bactrae against immature stage development and adult emergence, and (b) effect of insecticides residue against parasitism was conducted at the Entomology Laboratory of the Research Institute for Food Crops Biotechnology. Sihalotrin 25 EC was applied on various immature age stage of T. bactrae bactrae in egg host of E. zinckenella, where as Monocrotophos 15 WSC, Chlorpyriphos 20 EC, Deltametrin 2.5 EC, Sihalotrin 25 EC, and Endosulfan 35 EC were applied on various immature age stage of T. bactrae bactrae in the egg host of C. cephalonica. The result showed that Sihalotrin applied immature stage was not reducing the number of adult and percentage of adult emergence. Three days after application Sihalotrin residues still had negative effect on the parasitoids in the E. zinckenella eggs. Chlorpyriphos were found to be high toxic to the immature stage of parasitoids, in the C. cephalonica eggs, and causing no adult emergence. Monocrotophos and Deltametrin were safer than the others if sprayed on immature stage 1-3 days old in C. cephalonica eggs. The susceptibility of T. Suatu percobaan untuk mengetahui pengaruh aplikasi insektisida pada praimago Trichogrammatoidea bactrae bactrae terhadap perkembangan praimago dan imago yang muncul serta dampak residu insektisida terhadap tingkat parasitismenya telah dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Balai Penelitian Bioteknologi Tanaman Pangan dari tahun 1995 sampai 1997. Insektisida Sihalotrin 25 EC diaplikasikan pada berbagai umur praimago T. bactrae bactrae dalam inang telur Etiella zinckenella, sedangkan insektisida Monokrotofos 15 WSC, klorpirifos 20 EC, Deltametrin 2,5 EC, Sihalotrin 25 EC dan Endosulfan 35 EC diaplikasikan pada berbagai umur praimago dalam inang telur C. cephalonica. Sihalotrin yang diaplikasikan pada praimago T. bactrae bactrae dalam telur E. zinckenella tidak mengakibatkan penurunan jumlah praimago sehingga berhasil mencapai stadia imago. Residu Sihalotrin masih berdampak negatif, setelah 3 hari aplikasi, terhadap tingkat parasitisme T. bactrae bactrae. Klorpirifos sangat menghambat pertumbuhan dan perkembangan praimago serta mengakibatkan tidak munculnya imago parasitoid. Monokrotofos dan Deltametrin aman terhadap praimago parasitoid bila diaplikasikan pada umur praimago 1-3 hari. Kerentanan praimago terhadap insektisida yang diaplikasikan semakin meningkat dengan meningkatnya umur praimago T. bactrae bactrae
