Investigation of fungicides efficiency to control downy mildew (Pseudoperonospora cubensis (Bert. et Curt.) Rostow.) in cucumber

Pseudoperonospora cubensis, causal agent of downy mildew of cucumber, has occurred with increasing intensity in Lithuania since 1985. The diseases has caused heavy yield losses in greenhouse and outdoor cucumber crops. The efficiency of fungicides Dithane M-45, Penncozeb 80 WP, Previcur 607 SL and Policarbacin 80 WP were investigated. The most effective treatments were Dithane M-45, Pennocozeb 80 WP and Previcur 607 SL, that reduced disease prevalence and intensity to 2,0-17,8 and increased yields to 4,7-12,0 t/ha.
