[Flow of biogenic elements with surface runoff and crop yield on hilly soils of eastern Lithuania]

The experiment was conducted on soddy podzolic moderately podzolized and moderately eroded heavy loam soils. The losses of biogenic elements with surface runoff and washed away soil were investigated while growing crops using different systems of chemization. Experimental findings showed, that on the hilly, moderately eroded, sufficiently supplied with phosphorus and potassium soils the best results were obtained growing perennial grasses rather than arable crops. The nutrient losses in this treatment were minimal
