[Production and sales problems of livestockfarming products]

The aims of livestockfarming policy in Latvia in the content of the integration into the EU Common Market are explained. The decrease of production in this branch and the factors determing it are analysed. The main factors are pointed out high production costs and low prices offered to farmers by food producing enterprises as well as irregular payments for products. The possible ways of solving the problems are suggested: 1) food processing enterprises owned by farmers; 2) cooperation in agriculture or organization of large farms.
