[Impact of Latvia's concluded international trade agreements on the balance of foreign trade of agricultural products]

The work deals with the international trade policy of Latvia. It is stated that the present state trade policy develops in the directions of harmonizing the laws and regulations, control of domestic market according to the requests of the World Trade Organization and the EU and the development of more favourable conditions for foreign trade. International trade agreements as important instruments for the implementation of state trade policy are explained. The international trade agreements concluded by Latvia are analysed, their influence on the foreign trade balance is discussed. The strategic directions of international agreements are defined.
