Considering the fact that in Lithuania dogs are infected not only by a single but also by a mixed invasion of nematodes and cestodes, the production of a preparation for dogs - a wide spectrum anthelminthic - was started. The preparation is called Fenprapiras, it is in the form of tablets and in the qualitative and quantative composition of active substances it is identical to Cestal plus. The effectiveness and toxicity of the praparation were tested and evaluated in the given experiments. It was confirmed that Fenprapiras is highly effective against Toxocara canis, Toxocaris leonina, Ancylostoma caninum and Diplidium caninum and is well tolerated by dogs.
