Domestical mineral raw materials and their influence on calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, zinc and copper utilization in young fattening cattle
1999
Kinal, S.
The purpose of carried out experiments was the estimation of the effectiveness of using of domestical mineral raw materials - limestone, dolomites, phosphorus, zinc and copper oxides, zinc and copper sulphates as well as their influence on Ca, P, Mg, Zn and Cu utilization in young fattening cattle. For uniforming of the diets the maize silage as a basal feed was used. Also, the influence of used minerals on nutrients apparent digestibility and macro- and microelements concentration in blood serum were estimated. 6 balance-digestibility experiments were carried out on 152 young steers, White-Black breed with average body weight 160-300 kg, which were fed individually with maize silage or with maize silage supplemented with a small quantity (0.5 kg) of rape seed oil meal
