Herbicide doses used only in 1997, which was characterized by heavy rains, significantly reduced the diameter of trees at the heights of 10 and 30 cm as well as the number and sum of shoot lenghts. In 1995 the trees growing on the fields which were weed controlled by means of Stomp preparation were significantly thinner at the height of 10 cm as compared to the controll. In 1996 a silimar phenomenon was observed in the measumernts performed at the height of 30 cm. No significant differences in the height of trees were observed between the control combination and the fields controlled by means of herbicides in the years 1995 and 1996. In 1997 the trees growing on the trees growing on the fields controlled with a mixture of Gesatop 50 and Dual were remarkably higher than in the remaining combinations
