The sulphur content of winter rape leaves varied from 0.31 to 1.09 percent in dry weight and of the spring rape from 0.41 to 0.81 percent depending on sulphur doses. These values corresponded to critical medium and good sufficiency of S for the crop. There was a significant increase in seed yield, by 0.5 t/ha of winter rape and 0.3 t/ha of spring rape. The fertilization used had a significant effect on the content of NNKT in the seed oil from both forms of rape, rising its nutritive value. The most effective was foliar application of magnesium sulphate at budding stage
