Soil resistance forces in aspect of geometry of a skew wedge shaped implement

The effects of lifting angle and cutting edge angle of a skew wedge shape implement on soil resistance forces were analysed. Field experiments were carried out on heavy clay soil of 14-15% moisture content. It was stated that the course of resistance in function of lifting angle was of not monotonic character at the mininmum approximating within 12-26 deg, and that at constant lifting angle and implement width, the value of soil resistance forces decreased with increase of the edge angle
