Analyses of phenotype correlations of various parameters of egg quality and laying intensity (LI) in the commercial egg layer Shaver Starcross 288 showed statistically highly significant correlation with all weight parameters of egg except for weight of yolk in which the correlation was not significant. Correlation between weight parameters of egg were positive and medium to strong, and all were statistically highly significant. The significantly negative relation between cholesterol in yolk (CHY) and weight of egg and between the weight of egg-white and yolk as well (is interesting from the viewpoint of selection for decrease of cholesterol in yolk. LI repeatability determined from the correlation of two observations of the same parameter in 2 various periods was r sub(op1)=0.2435 and from variance analysis r sub(op2)=0.2211. There was r sub(op1)=0.5093 and r sub(op2)=0.5188 with the weight of egg. Weight repeatability of egg-white and shell was rather high, significant to very high significant, similarly as the content of edible part, proportion of yolk and index of egg shape. It varied within the span from r sub(op2)=0.3565 for the proportion of yolk to r sub(op2)=0.690 for the weight of egg-white. The repeatability of cholesterol content in yolk and in the edible proportion varied within the span from 0.2598 to 0.4752 and it was significant to very highly significant. The repeatability of level of low density lipoproteins was weak (r sub(op1)=0.1609 and r sub(op2)=0.1587)
