Effect of stand density on tree form, growth rate and yield of 12 year-old Eucalyptus camaldulensis Dehnh. planted in 7 different grades of density were studied at Somdet plantation, Kalasin province. The study showed that mean of stem diameter at ground level and at breast height, total height and survival percentage were inversely correlated to stand density. The vertical distribution of stem biomass density increased from the upper level to the lower part monotonously downwards in all stand density. Branch and leaf biomass density attained the maximum value at an intermediate height between the canopy surface and ground level. Cumulative crown weight (branch plus leaf) was correlated with stem weight are each layer within the crown and the gradient of the correlation between the cumulative crown weight and stem weight showed a decreasing trend with the present stand density more than with the initial stand density. Stem weight from ground level to the level without branch and leaf decreased exponentially with stem length by the gradient of stem weight change was positively increased with the increasing of the initial stand density. Stem weight without branch and leaf of each tree was well correlated with the present stand density in forms of the competition-density effects providing the estimation of mean and total stem weight without branch and leaf could be perdicted from the present stand density. The relative growth rate of each fraction of tree and stem volume were inversely correlated to stand density. Mean biomass of each part and average stem volume of tree were inversely correlated to stand density. An area basis of biomass yield of each fraction of tree and stem volume in present study were not significantly affected by initial stand density.
