Technical and economic characteristics of vetch growing in Aegean and South Marmara regions, and the problems limiting the vetch production were investigated according to the analysis of data obtained from 92 farmers. It was found that the farms had a vetch production area of 12.21 % of the total and mean field size was 0.464 hectare. Technical and economic analysis showed that problems of vetch production were mainly regarding: Variety, seed supply, harvest mechanization and fertilization, resulting in 51.57% lower farmer yield (3740 kg/ha hay) of the amount obtained under experimental conditions.
