The effect of green manuring on soil organic content and soil biological activity

In this study, which was accomplished in field experiment, it was tried to find out the effects of vetch, faba bean, clover and annual ryegrass on the soil biological activity and soil organic matter content when grown as green manure. Plants grown for green manuring, was mixed to soil at the beginning of flowering. Soil samples were taken from the experiment plots in 0-20cm layer. Soil organic matter content, soil organic carbon content, soil CO2 production and dehydogenase (DHA) activity were determined
