The traditional use of seed potato tubers represents the majority cost of production inputs. Additionally, they are expensive to transport and to store. Tuber-transmitted diseases would be minimized by TPS use where possible. In this respect, matters arising from sexual seed germination and seedling vigour as well as their subsequent use in seedling tuber production and final productivities vs cultivars were under investigation in the lowlands (Menemen) and highlands (Bozdag) during 1993-1995
