During the screening of 26 angiospermic taxa, the leaves of Cassia tora, Hyptis suaveolens, Murraya koenigii, Ocimum canum, and Ranunculus arvensis showed absolute volatile toxicity against Pythium aphanidermatum and P. debaryanum. The volatile antifungal fractions of H. suaveolens, M. koenigii, and O. canum were isolated in the form of essential oils. The oils were tested individually as well as in four mixtures. The fungitoxic activity of the four mixtures of the three oils was found to be several times enhanced than that of the individual oils except for O. canum which exhibited absolute fungitoxicity at 1000 ppm.
