Efficacy of 103 fungal and 57 bacterial isolates for the inhibition of mycelium growth of Phytophthora parasitica. Trichoderma spp. (9 isolates) and bacteria (6 isolates) were highly effective against P. parasitica. The mixture of Trichoderma spp. was used solely or integrated with each of two fungicides for the inhibition of P. parasitica. Results showed that all isolates of Trichoderma spp. in the TDRO-mix, when incoporated with Phytophthora infested soil, significantly reduced population of P. parasitica. Laboatory test for antagonistic efficacy of bacteria revealed that gram negative bacteria (UB-164). In lathhouse condition, TDRO-mix (1:8:5:16 by weight) was applied with or without funficide in to Phytophthora infested soil around the basal stem. Result indicated that treatment of TDRO-mix (CB-PIN-01) integrated with 1,250 ppm metalaxyl reduced disease incidence which was not significantly different from the sole use of 5,000 ppm metalaxyl. Efficacy of the improved mixture of Trichoderma powder, rice bran, organic compost and sand (1:5:16:8 by weight) on root rot of the tangerine marcottages was revealed that a mixture of T. harzianum (CB-PIN-01) used in combination with 2,500 ppm metalaxyl effectively reduced Phytophthora root rot of the marcottages.
