[Heavy metal transformation in biotechnological systems for beef and pork production]
1999
Rozputniy, O.I. (Bila Tserkva State Agricultural Univ. (Ukraine))
The study concerns with the evaluating the state of biogenic migration of heavy metals at industrial beef and pork production complexes; clarifying a role of young animals' organisms in biotransformation of copper, zinc, manganese, cadmium and lead over a period of animal rearing and feeding and providing favourable environmental conditions in the zone where the biotechnological systems stated are applied. On the basis of the investigations conducted the role is clarified of separate links (feeds, water, animal organism, dung biomass) in the biogenic migration of the heavy metals. The basic quota of the water and feed heavy metals content is shown to pass into the dung biomass. The number of animals per hectare of agricultural lands while utilizing the dung biomass obtained from them according their content of metals is calculated to provide the favourable environmental conditions
