The paper deals with effects of different quantities of sewage mud, worm casting and NPK fertilizer on the number of aminoautotrophes, aminoheterotrophes, nitrifiers and azotobacter in soil sown with potatoes. Systems of fertilizing influenced on the number of almost all examined groups of microoorganisms. The highest number of almost all examined microorganisms was found in the variant fertilized with worm casting. Introduction of sewage mud compared with mineral fertilizer, caused greater enlarging of the number of microorganisms. With enlarging the quantity of sewage mud, number of all examined groups of microorganisms became higher. Number of the examined microorganisms was the highest in soil with depth from 10 to 20 cm, in the end of potatoes vegetation, and the lowest number was found in soil with depth from 0 to 10 cm in the beginning of potatoes vegetation.
