Nutritive and medicinal properties of subtropical fruit crops

The paper gives a short account of the significant nutritive and medicinal properties of decidious subtropical fruit crops (kiwifruit, fig, pomegranate, kaki persimmon (Diospyros kaki), common jujube (Ziziphus jujuba L.). The most favourable climate condition of Montenegrin coast and hinterland (Zetska-Bjelopavlicka plain), Montenegro (Yugoslavia), enable growing of domestic, domesticated and introduced cultivars of the above mentioned fruit crops. High nutritive and medicinal properties and the fact that chemical against pests and diseases are not applied in their production is their common trait. This results in obtaining valued and ecologically safe food.
