Yield and quality of the grapes and wines of the Cabernet Sauvignon in the Jagodina vineyard area [Serbia, Yugoslavia]

Over the four year investigations (from 1993 to 1996) yield and quality of the grapes and wines of the Caubernet Sauvignon in the Jagodina vineyard area, Serbia (Yugoslavia), were tested. Under the agroecological conditions of the Jagodina vineyard area, Serbia (Yugoslavia), the variety tested has shown fertility which on the average was 0.900 kg/square meter with the sugar content of 20.55% and total acids of 7.02 g/l. The high quality wine obtained featured good colour, full and harmonious flavour with finely fitting alcohol, acids and phenolic substances and very intensive and agreeable bouquet.
