The use of organelly bound trace elements (Cu, Zn, Mn and Se) with the addition of organic absorbent of ammonia excess in rumen in cows nutrition during the last two weeks before calving and the first 120 lactation days has a positive effect on milk production (P0.05), more important reproductive indexes, and reduction of somatic cells number in milk. In blood serum as well as in the milk of cows higher concentrations of Cu, Zn and Se (P0.05) were established. In rumen liquid content in experimental cows the insignificant amount of total N and NH3-N was established what was, most probably, the consequence of the presence of absorbent of ammonia excess.
