Chemical composition of colostrum and milk in lactation of sows

The basic chemical composition of colostrum and milk of sows was determined with specific consideration of the fatty acids content and ash chemical elements. With consecutive lactation day the protein level decreased and contents of lactose and saturated fatty acids increased. Feeding of sows, contents of mineral components in fodder and water decide about concentration of individual chemical elements in milk. Milk pH increased with succeding lactation day.
