Integrated stored products protection is derived from the concept which is applied to agricultural production in the field and has the tradition over 35 years. The concept is adapted to closed systems such as storages, food industry and distribution centres. The integrated management of stored products protection includes application in harmonious relations among hygiene measures, technical, technological, biotechnical, physical, biological and chemical methods and legal and economical measures. The multidisciplinary approach to solvation of the problems is necessary or the successfull carring out of this concept. The "expert" systems, which are based on computer application, are used in recent years. In the future, the involvement in stored products protection will be directed to preventive acting and monitoring, while the direct control by the application of chemical measures will be in use only when necessary. In that way, the greater efficiency will attained, the unwilling effects on food consumers, useful organisms in ecosystem, and the protection of the human health and environment will be more successfully.
