Structure and change of weed community of crops in conditions of intensive application of herbicides in southwest Banat [Serbia, Yugoslavia]

The aim of this investigation is to study the influence that long duration herbicides application has on cenotic changes in the development of weed community of maize and sugar beet crops which belongs to ass. Hibisco-Eragrostietum megastachyae Tx., 1950, as weed as the changes that can under the influence of meteorological factors-seasonal dynamics, changes because of different crops and changes under the influence of soil action. On the basis of investigated parameters and established synmorphological, synecologic, syngenetic and syntaxonomic changes it was established that current wide spread weed community of crops and in the conditions of intensive herbicides application retained the same syntaxonomic status. Described weed association has clear terrophytic feature, what point to its adaptation to the conditions of intensive agricultural technology connected to maize and sugar beet crop.
