Role of inbreeding in introducting new blood breeding in horse population of Pleven breed

Reduced number of breeding horses of Pleven breed led to narowing of the genealogical basis of population.As result of closing big number of genealogical breeding lines accumulation of blood from the rest of the acting three lines was obtained.For the studied period from 1982 to 1999 some moderate inbreeding was used.Utilization of introducing new blood matting with thorough-breds, having type that is proper for the breed led to considerable increase of the basic body measurements.
