Presented work analyses the experience reached in experiments on Norway spruce stands in the Jizerske hory Mts. (Northern Bohemia) since the beginning of observation in 1979-1986 to 1999. On differently aged experimental stands in zone of air pollution A (Tetrevi boudy I and II) and B (Kristianov), the static stability of stands and individual trees was analysed from the various thinning regimes.
