2001
Klimas, E. (Lithuanian University of Agriculture, Kaunas (Lithuania))
In 1997 on turf glacious loamy soil of experiment station at Lithuania University of Agriculture a trial to find productivity, nutriousnes, edibility and digestibility of mixtures composed of intergenetic hybrid 'Punia'F sub(1) and tetraploid red clover 'Vyliai' and to compare them with corresponding mixtures composed of red clover 'Vyliai' perennial rye-grass 'Sodre', meadow fescue 'Dotnuva 1', tall-fescue 'Jotvingis' was set, the mixtures were composed of 40 per cent of gramineous and 60 per cent of red clover. First year use data on dry matter yield, botanical composition and yield structure indicated that dry matter yield of hybrid variety 'Punia' was by 2,8 up to 12,3 per cent higher then that of the mixtures of other gramineous. In the second use year the mixture composed of meadow fescue 'Dotnuva 1' and red clover 'Vyliai' was significantly more productive by 16 per cent. Productivity of the mixtures composed of hybrid variety 'Punia', perennial rye-grass 'Sodre', tall fescue 'Jotvingis' with red clover 'Vyliai' was similar (8,65-9,11 t/ha). In the first year of the use hybrid variety 'Punia' made in mixtures the biggest part (35,9-63 per cent) in the second year-tall fescue 'Jotvingis' (45,6-72,5 per cent)
