An impact of abiotic factors to hibernation of sucking pests of apple-trees

During the experimental period eggs of fruit tree red spider mite Panonychus ulmi Koch. were found to be most sensitive to low temperatures during wintering period. After hibernation when the temperature during the winter period is lower only 1,36 per cent eggs of this pest survive. When temperature is higher 58,6 per cent of eggs survive. Abundance of apple sucker Psylla mali Schmdb., green apple aphid Aphis pomi Deg. and mussel scale Lepidosaphes ulmi Koch eggs is lower, but hibernation capacity is higher. As the abundance of apple sucker, green apple aphids, mussel scale eggs and hibernation capacity of fruit tree red spider mite are low, ovicide spray before bud burst can be safely omitted
