Computer aided evaluation of different routes in forest road planning
2000
Peterfalvi, J.
Planning forest roads we aspire that roads should have the least devastating impact to the natural condition and should be the best from the technical and economic viewpoint at the same time. In hilly and mountain region during construction time we meet the rquirements with evalution and comparison of variations. Traditional construction method has considerable extra labour demand therefor this method is seldom followed. If we want to get comparable variations within a short time, we will have to use computer programs. One of the possible solution of these kinds of problem is the planning system which has just been expounded. This system is a grafical planning softver (AutoCAD) completed by a road constructor program of our own make. Newertheless the program can be changed and improved on any request.
