The winter wheat line, RE9001, has a high level of quantitative adult plant resistance to powdery mildew. The determination of specific resistance is not possible at this stage, contrary to seedling and vernalized seedling plant stages. The aim of this study was determination of genetic factors involved in the resistance at the two early developmental stages in order to estimate the existence of race specific resistance at the adult plant stage.
