Evaluation of yield potentials on some genotypes of gambhier at the podzolic soil

Field trial of yield potency of some gambhier genotypes was conducted in Podzolic Soil of the Sub Institute of Research and Assesment Agriculture Technology (IPPTP) Laing, Solok, West Sumatra since 1992 till 1996. The experiment was performed in a completely randomized block design with 15 treatments (genotypes) and six replications. Parameters observed were: height of plant, stem diameter, number of primary branches per plant, length of the longest primary branch per plant, number of leaves per plant, weight to young leaves per plot, weight of young twig per plant, weight of biomass per plant, weight of young leaves per plot, weight of young twig per plot and weight of biomass per plot. The result showed there were no significant differences between genotype, but there were an indication that genotype A, C, D, E, and F had better yield potency compared to others, primarily on the yield component of the weight of young leaves per plant and the weight of young twig per plant

Pengujian potensi hasil beberapa genotipe tanaman gambir pada tanah Podzolik telah dilakukan di Instalasi Penelitian dan Pengkajian Teknologi Pertanian (IPPTP) Laing, Solok, Sumatera Barat dari tahun 1992 sampai 1996. Percobaan disusun dalam Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 15 perlakuan (genotipe) dan enam ulangan. Variabel yang diamati meliputi; tinggi tanaman, diameter batang, jumlah cabang primer per batang, panjang cabang primer, panjang ruas cabang, jumlah daun per cabang, berat daun muda per batang, berat ranting muda per batang, berat berangkasan per batang, berat daun muda per plot, berat ranting muda per plot dan berat berangkasan per plot. Hasil pengamatan tidak menunjukkan perbedaan yang nyata antara masing-masing genotipe yang diuji, namun terlihat ada kecenderungan genotipe A, C, N D, E, dan F memiliki potensi hasil yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan genotipe lainnya terutama pada data komponen produksi seperti berat daun dan berat ranting per batang
