[The productivity of rice and maize intercropped among coconut in two planting seasons]

anglais. The use of intercropping in coconut is an endeavour to increase of farmers income. The growth potential intercrops in coconut are rice and corn, because it was potential enough to coconut and product of tall coconut, and it could increase farmer income continually pass well. An experiment was done in Pakuwon Experimental Station, Sukabumi, West Java from October 1995 until December 1997. This material used the tall coconuts 20 years, planting pattern 8.5 x 8.5 x 8.5 m with system, and the design was used randomized block design with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments are: 1. Coconut + rice, 2. Coconut + corn, 3. Monoculture rice, 4. Monoculture corn. The variables observed were vegetative characteristic, coconut and intercrops yield. The result of the experiment showed that number of leaves, sub leaves, female flowers, bunches, and coconut fruits are increased intercropping under coconut. Yield components of rice and corn under coconut were lower than monoculture. Product of dry grains rice/ha and product of dry seeds corn/ha at planting October and April were 1.02, 1.25, 1.78 and 2.57 ton
Afficher plus [+] Moins [-]inconnu. Pengusahaan tanaman sela diantara kelapa merupakan salah satu usaha untuk meningkatkan pendapatan petani. Tanaman sela yang cukup potensial diantara kelapa adalah padi dan jagung, karena berpengaruh positif terhadap tanaman kelapa dan tanaman selanya sendiri dapat meningkatkan pendapatan petani secara berkesinambungan. Untuk itu telah dilakukan penelitian produktivitas tanaman sela padi dan jagung diantara kelapa pada dua musim tanam. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Instalasi Penelitian Pakuwon, Sukabumi, Jawa Barat, mulai bulan Oktober 1995 sampai Desember 1997. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada kelapa dalam umur 20 tahun, jarak tanam 8.5 x 8.5 8.5 meter sistem segitiga, menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok dengan 4 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Adapun perlakuannya sbb : 1) Kelapa + padi, 2) Kelapa + jagung, 3) Padi monokultur, 4) Jagung monokultur. Variabel yang diamati meliputi karakteristik vegetatif dan hasil tanaman kelapa serta tanaman sela padi dan jagung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jumlah daun, jumlah anak daun, jumlah tandan dan jumlah buah tanaman kelapa mengalami kenaikan dengan adanya tanaman sela. Komponen hasil padi dan jagung diantara kelapa lenih rendah dibandingkan monokultur. Produksi gabah kering padi/ha diantara kelapa tanam Oktober dan April sebesar 1.02, dan 1.25 ton. Produksi pipilan kering jagung/ha diantara kelapa pada tanam Oktober dan April sebesar : 1.78 dan 2.57 ton
