The purpose of this paper is to outline the situation of the commodity futures market in Japan. It is said that Japanese commodity futures, especially for agricultural products, will play on important role in increasing agricultural imports for the Japanese market more than before. Section 1, we show the trading system of commodity futures and how to form the commodity prices. In section 2, we discussed the legal history of the merger of commodity exchanges in Japan. In section 3, the real state of trading the volume and the contract prices are elaborated on in detail
