[Influence of different crop cultivation elements on the productivity of early potato varieties]

In 1994-1996, at the Elmininkai Research Station (Lithuanian Institute of Agriculture) the response of early potato varieties to seed cutting as well as optimum chice of skin surface and potato sizes best for planting (small, 25-40 g or large, 80-160 g) when normal size is lacking, was investigated. It was found that cutting seed tubers, tuber size and skin surface reduction and increase markedly influenced dry matter content and starch in yields, dry matter content and starch yields were analogous to tuber yield
