Acceptability of offering the Diploma in Agricultural Technology-Bachelor in Agricultural Technology (DAT-BAT) program as perceived by the stakeholders of Arakan Valley [Cotabato, Philippines]

The results of the study revealed that as regards size of the area cultivated, farm commodities life food crops, domestic animals and plantation crops were usually raised in only one hectare. Likewise, for the number of farm support services found in the locality, it was found that, generally only one existed; for the strength of cultural influences specifically in values and traditions the stakeholders usually valued very much Godliness, citizenship, and awareness but not in traditional practices in food crops, animal raising and plantation crops production; for the level of competence in cultivating various farm commodities raised specifically in food crops, animal raising and plantation crop production, the stakeholders were generally incompetent; and for the acceptability of the DAT-BAT program by the stakeholders of Arakan Valley, their responses revealed that they highly accepted the offering of the DAT-BAT program. Meanwhile, there was significant relationship between the commodities raised in the farm and the acceptability of the DAT-BAT program as revealed in the teachers, the farmers and the NGO [nongovernmental organization]/PO's [private organization] responses. However, the students and businessmen's responses showed no relationship. For the relationship between the number of the support services and acceptability of the DAT-BAT program, only the farmers' response showed significant relationship while the students, teachers, businessmen and NGO/PO revealed no relationship. For the strength of belief of the stakeholders in cultural influences specifically in values and traditions, there was no significant relationship with the acceptability of the DAT-BAT Program. And for the relationship between the level of competence in cultivating various agricultural commodities and the acceptability of the DAT-BAT program, the teachers' responses showed significant relationship while the students, the farmers, the businessmen and the NGO/PO showed no relationship
