Influence of host plants and management practices on the populations of arthropod pests and their natural enemies on soybeans (Glycine max L.) in corn-based agroecosystem in Cagayan Valley [Philippines]
2000
Gaspar, M.G. (Philippine Rice Research Inst., San Mateo, Isabela (Philippines))
This study determined the influence of host plants and management practices of arthropod pests and natural enemy populations in corn-based agroecosystem in the Cagayan Valley. It was conducted in the river flood plains of Ilagan, Isabela [Philippines] from Oct 1996 to Oct 1997 and compared the effects of cropping systems, fertilizer sources, and insect control methods on arthropod populations including herbivores, natural enemies, soil arthropods, and crop profitability. The influence of soil quality and the alternate host/habitat to arthropods' density were also assessed
