Three different post harvest plant fungi were isolated from lesions on onion Allium cepa L. collected from the storage located at Hyderabad. From the isolation of pieces of rotted onion, it was found that Aspergillus sp. was predominant. It was followed by Fusarium sp. and Penicillium sp. Aspergillus sp. was isolated from 11% of the randomly selected rotten bulbs followed by species Fusarium and Penicillium (05% and 04%) respectively. Application of four fungicides showed that Benlate, Dithane M-45 and Tecto-60 were most effective against Aspergillus sp., Fusarium sp. and Penicillium sp. respectively.
