The authors evaluated two population of breeds - White Improved (8835) and Landrace (3090). The evaluation was conducted during years 1994-97. The percentage of lean meat (LM) was determined during tests of own efficiency in a field test and it was corrected on 100 kg. Sows were divided into the following groups: 54 and less, 54.1-55.9, 56.0-57.9, 58.0-59.9 and 60.0 and more percent LM. Measurements were taken by PIGLOG 105. Among the reproductive traits, the number of all piglets born, piglets born alive and weaned was monitored. The percentage of LM increase in White Improved from 55.85 to 58.60 percent LM and in Landrace from 55.76 to 59.11 percent LM. The influence of a rising percentage of LM on the number of all piglets born, piglets born alive and weaned was not statistically significant
