This manual results from the efforts of ICARDA Seed Unit to promote distinctness, uniformity and stability (DUS) testing of crop varieties in the countries of West Asia and North Africa. It includes descriptions and colour photographs of most of the wheat and barley varieties grown in Syria. The manual provides a description of the characters used and the terminology of variety description in both English and Arabic
