This work deals with problems concerning soil's hydrophysical properties determination by use of pedotransfer functions in connection to textural categories as well as morphological type of soils. These hydrophysical properties are evaluated in the profile of studied soils. These soils are chosen from two points of view: their importance for crop production and (or) the area. The soils are following (FAO classification) - (Vermi) haplic Chernozem, orthic Luvisol, Eutric Cambisol, Eutric Fluvisol, Calcaric Fluvisol, Albic Luvisol. Continuous pedotransfer functions have been used for hydrophysical properties evaluation. Calculated parameters are: saturated water content, saturated hydraulic conductivity, parameters determinig S-shaped retention curve, as well as slope hydraulic conductivity curve. The work showes existence of soil type influence in textural category on hydrophysical properties of soil, especially in case of saturated hydraulic conductivity and saturated water content
