The relationships between rooting and some chemical components in walnut (J. regia L.) hardwood cuttings

In this study, the relationships between rooting and the chemical composition of bark in hardwood cuttings were investigated. The rooting was not obtained but callus formation between 46.65% and 67.42% was determined. In terms of total sugar determined during the rooting periods (in the cuttings taken in December 16.60%, in February 12.30%) an important difference was determined statistically. The relationship between callus formation and Ca, P and N was found significant statistically. But an important difference between callus formation and juglone, flavan and total sugar contents could not be obtained
