[Productivity of early-season Slavutych 162 SV maize hybrid and its parental forms depending on the sowing dates and the density of plant stand under conditions of the northern zone of the Steppe of Ukraine]

By using field experiments and laboratory and chamber tests special features are studied of a varietal growing technologies for the new early-season maize hybrid Slavutych 162 SV and its maternal form Samara S and paternal form Slavutych 176. Based on the data obtained on growth and forming productivity of the plants basic elements are developed of the varietal growing technologies. The advisability is economically substantiated of growing early-season hybrids with grain yields within the limits 6.0-7.0 tonnes/hectare in Ukraine's Steppe zone. The highest output of certified seeds of Samara S stood at 0.45 tonnes/hectare per Hr 100 of expenditures and Hr 20 per 100 kg of fuels. The innovation of the study conducted is as follows: for the first time in the Steppe zone of Ukraine 10-15 % of hybrids belonging to the early-season group are introduced into the structure of maize hybrid content
