[Genetically determinated polymorphism of the enzymes in some varieties of soybean (Glycine max) and wild soybean (Glycine soja)]
2000
Glazko, V.I.
Twenty-two genetic and biological systems (42 loci) of 18 varieties of soybean (G. max) and 3 populations of wild soybean (G. soja) were analysed. The part of the polymorphic loci (P) and intraspecific genetic differentiation (DN) are found to be higher in agricultural plants as compared to the wild species (P=45 and 17 %; DN = 0.038-0.269 and 0.059-0.129). In the wild species involved the polymorphism is revealed mainly among the loci coding the glycolysis and Krebs cycle enzymes. In agricultural varieties of soybean, as compared to the wild species, the polymorphism is proved to be higher in enzymes not involved in the glucose metabolism. Availability is discussed of the specific share of the genetic pool of the old ancestor species, that is taking part in domestication and forming agricultural varieties
