Study on tumors in dogs kept in HCM city and results of treatments using operation

Studying was carried out from July 1 rst , 1999 to October 31, 1999. There were 116 cases of tumors in the total of 13,013 patient dogs which were taken to Veterinary clinic of Veterinary Subdepartment in HCM City. Tumors occurred in bitches higher than in male dogs, 58.62 percent and 41.38 percent respectively. Cell testing 64 samples, there were 26/64 malignant tumor. samples (40.6 percent). Tumors in vagina and mammary glands in the local breed of dogs were higher than exotic breed of dogs. Except for tumors of eye. All dogs were fast recovered, at 8 - 12 days post- operation of cutting
