[The influence of different preceding crop on forming soybean yield]
2000
Krompic, J.
In the period 1997-1999 the influence of different preceding crop investigated on forming of soybean yield. The experiment was accomplished on the chernozem (black soil) type of soil, according to split-plot method. In the experiment there were investigated 10 preceding crops. Primary goal of this experiment is to determine how some preceding crops, with and without fertlizers, in agro-ecological environment of east Srem (Serbia, Yugoslavia), influence forming of soybean yield. The results of this experiment can be used as reference in practical sorting of soybean in crop rotation. Weather conditions during experiment were different from year to year. Record yield was reached in 1999, which was best year for soybean yield. Year 1998 was very dry and it resulted with less yield. Results of experiment show that maximum yield by hectare can be reached after using winter wheat, spring barley, cattle-pea or soya as preceding crop, and minimum yield can be reached using roughage grain seed and sunflower as preceding crop.
