Integrated pest management in irrigated field agrocenosis in the south east of European Russia
2000
Kozenko, O. (All-Russian Institute of Irrigative Agriculture, Volgograd (Russian Federation))
Integrated pest control of main pests in field agrocenosis based on the cultivated control methods is presented. Influence of irrigation, crop rotation and fertilization practice on the increased stability of entomological complexes in southeastern Russia are discussed. It is shown that entomophages significantly reduce the activity of harmful pests in arid zones. Self-regulation of entomological complexes is intensified and pesticide application is reduced by 40-50% by strengthening the activity of entomophages, developing polydominant complexes and thus modifying the structure of insect communities.
