Article gives an analysis of the main directions of development of the legislation of the Republic of Belarus in the field of using the fish resources. The article also contains the results of developments in the field of the standard and legal regulation of using the water reservoirs which have not been leased and which are to be provided for use for not more than 6 months, what makes it possible to involve the water reservoirs undeveloped by the market to the sphere of the economic activity with the aim of the most full and rational usage of the fish resources in these water reservoirs
